About Us

Groundwater provides half of all drinking water in this country and 40% of all agricultural irrigation, but most Americans don’t understand the sources of groundwater, how it moves beneath the ground, or what happens when groundwater becomes polluted. Our mission is to develop internet-based mapping tools that can help educate people about groundwater flow and contaminant fate and transport. These tools will be free, user-friendly, and interactive so that anyone can use them to learn more about groundwater in their community.
